House Bill 1479, the NH End Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying Bill, has been filed and would prohibit the use of public funds by public officials to lobby for public policy.

Under current law, NH taxpayers regularly pay to propagate the ideas in which they oppose.

Towns and municipalities across New Hampshire pay membership dues, with your money, to private associations and organizations to lobby for issues that you may not agree with.

In fact, if you are active in NH politics, your taxpayer dollars may be being used against you in the efforts in which you actively advocate for.
