I am dissapointed that you have lied to Hew Hampshire voters about healthcare freedom.
In June of 2021, you wrote a letter to the legislature, promising that once the budget was passed, you were "committed to working with you to strengthen the process even further, and address some of the concerns of the legislature."
That budget passed and New Hampshire legislators revisited the issue by sponsoring legislation.
House Bill 275 was sponsored to reform New Hampshire emergency powers and put in place protections that would prevent the state from using "emergencies" to give itself ever-expanding executive authority.
House Bill 1131 was sponsored to give students choice over their personal healthcare decisions without having to face the threat of having their academic opportunities cut.
You told the legislature that you would work to strengthen these protections - and then you vetoed both bills!
Your promises were nothing but a bold-faced lie!
You promised legislators and advocates you would support HB 275 as a condition of passing the budget. It turns out your word is just more backroom posturing by a politician!
I am writing you today to demand that you own up to your promises, support healthcare freedom legislation and stop lying to voters!
